چکیده

Recent cosmic shear studies have shown that higher-order statistics (HOS) developed by independent teams now outperform standard two-point estimators in terms of statistical precision thanks to their sensitivity the non-Gaussian features large-scale structure. The aim Higher-Order Weak Lensing Statistics (HOWLS) project is assess, compare, and combine constraining power ten different HOS on a common set Euclid -like mocks, derived from N -body simulations. In this first paper HOWLS series, we computed nontomographic (Ω m , σ 8 ) Fisher information for one-point probability distribution function, peak counts, Minkowski functionals, Betti numbers, persistent homology numbers heatmap, scattering transform coefficients, compare them convergence correlation functions absence any systematic bias. We also include forecasts three implementations moments, but these cannot be robustly interpreted as Gaussian likelihood assumption breaks down statistics. Taken individually, find each outperforms factor around two with some variations across cosmological parameters. When combining all HOS, increases 4.5 times improvement, highlighting immense potential analyses . data used analysis are publicly released paper.

FASTLens (FAst STatistics for weak Lensing) : Fast method for Weak Lensing Statistics and map making

With increasingly large data sets, weak lensing measurements are able to measure cosmological parameters with ever greater precision. However this increased accuracy also places greater demands on the statistical tools used to extract the available information. To date, the majority of lensing analyses use the two point-statistics of the cosmic shear field. These can either be studied directly ...

Statistics of Weak Lensing at Small Angular Scales: Analytical Predictions for Lower Order Moments

Weak lensing surveys are expected to provide direct measurements of the statistics of the projected dark matter distribution. Most analytical studies of weak lensing statistics have been limited to quasilinear scales as they relied on perturbative calculations. On the other hand, observational surveys are likely to probe angular scales less than 10 arcminutes, for which the relevant physical le...

A New Method for measuring Weak Gravitational Lensing Shear using Higher Order Spin-2 HOLICs

We investigate the possibility to use higher order moments of gravitational lensed images in the weak lensing analysis. For this purpose we employ spin-2 component of HOLICs(Higher Order Lensing Characteristics) developed by us. We test the weak lensing analysis with spin-2 HOLICs using actual, ground based Subaru observations of the massive galaxy cluster A1689(z=0.183). It turns out that spin...
